My Journey Logs

I Have Touched Base At The Historic City, Visakhapatnam!

March 20, 2015

Though my journey wasn’t as tiring as I expected due to the comfort the airline provided, I could’ve used a bath and some good food right around that time, not that I did not already indulge myself in some on flight food! “No one can have too much food” is a phrase I live by.

I have been using the best hotel booking app to ensure that my stay is as comfortable and relaxing as possible. After a long day of site seeing, my hotel room is my sanctuary of sorts, where I would like to come and unwind.

Being a pre planner, I already reserved a room at the exquisite Anupama Hotel Visakhapatnam. I selected this hotel because while I was surfing the internet for rooms, there were exceptional comments and reviews about this particular hotel. Good services and affordable prices is every traveller’s dream combination! There were cabs lined up outside the airport and I picked the nearest one and asked the cab driver to take me to the hotel and to my pleasant surprise the hotel was only eleven kilometres away from the airport.

The room that was provided was very spacious and was complete with a private bathroom, colour television, telephone and air conditioning. I wasn’t really in the mood to step out to check out the place just as yet, so I decided to eat some food from the hotel itself. The restaurant seemed to have a menu that was mouth-watering and I being the foodie that I am, I enjoyed every bite of my prawn Biriyani.

The travel desk at the hotel was of a lot of help as well. The guide showed me all the tourist places to visit and told me all the must-see and must eat delicacies! The Simachalan temple sounded interesting because it was said to have amazing architecture so I decided to venture there first.

After my talk with the travel guide and deciding my fist place of visit, I stepped out into the beautiful city with high hopes and expectations and without a doubt, the city delivered some wonderful tales and memories to take back!
